Exercise can change your life!  As a personal trainer I've helped many people create new destinies for themselves; by strengthening their bodies they strengthen their minds and in the process discover energy for life.  But don't just take the word of a personal trainer... Here's my story.

As an unknown on the junior circuit, I played my first squash tournament at the age of 11.  I made it to the grand final but lost in straight sets.  I see this as the beginning of acquiring a love for the game of squash and a passion to become better.

Greatly encouraged by my parents, who owned a squash centre, I was enthusiastic and determined to improve. My hard work paid off when I earned a place on the Victorian junior squash team.

In 1987 I won the AUSTRALIAN U.15 CHAMPIONSHIP and two years later the AUSTRALIAN U.17 CHAMPIONSHIP.  This led to a 12 month Australian Institute of Sport scholarship which gave me the opportunity not only to train under the direction of two legends of squash, Geoff Hunt and Heather McKay, but also to observe on a daily basis the commitment and dedication to training of several of the World's top professional players.

1n 1991, I was proud and honoured to be named CAPTAIN OF THE AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR TEAM which competed in the U.19 World Championships in Norway finishing a close second.  I was placed third in the World individual event and due to this creditable performance I decided to act on my dream of becoming a professional squash player.

Assisted by the VICTORIAN INSTITUTE OF SPORT and head coach Garry McIntosh I travelled overseas in 1992 to play on the world professional circuit.  My expectations were high, but like many outstanding juniors before me, I discovered the step up to senior level, and the travelling life of a pro, were more difficult than I imagined.  I returned home disillusioned by a "lack of results" but realising I had learned a great deal, it wasn't long before I began to slough off negativity, make positive plans for the future and begin the tough training programme which would enable me to achieve my ambitious goals.

I sought the full time services of Len Steward, my principal coach and his wife Flip Steward-Hargreaves.  Len, "The Master", one of the world's most experienced and successful coaches, developed a training program for me which required an enourmous amount of commitment and guided my development from 1993 to 1997 when I achieved my career high world squash ranking of 14. To this day I am indebted to Len and Flip for making my dream of becoming a professional squash player a reality.
