Carolyn (Caz) Watson
Carolyn had been told numerous times when growing up that she should try yoga, in particular, by her mum and like all good advice at that point she ignored it!
So, it is with a wry smile now that although it took awhile - and by the way her first classes were along her mum - something must have stuck because yoga has supported, and challenged her, through well over a decade of her life. What began out of curiosity and health reasons has become deeply enriching. There have been some ups and downs along the way but she discovered by returning to the mat , a slow growth of acceptance for it all and it has revealed courage, humour and grace which she had forgotten was there.
The desire to teach grew when she began as a student of Januta Ribinskas. Januta opened up the world of yoga in a way Carolyn hadn’t experienced and she responded by immersing herself, recently completing her teacher training with the Australian College of Classical Yoga.
‘Yoga is so much more than a physical practice. It’s an exploration of self, a journey, to live consciously - moment to moment - with compassion for ourselves and others.’
Carolyn is excited to meet you and share it with you – starting wherever you are, beginner or otherwise, (with the occasional mix up of her left and right!) so, you will laugh…breathe, move…..Be.
